New York at Christmastime is pretty special, so when my parents said they wanted to come for the holidays this year I was so excited. The last time they came in December was back in 2004 but I had only been in the city for a couple of months, so it was a lot of fun to experience all the festivities and holiday traditions together again 12 years later.

圣诞节：

After opening presents and getting our coffee, we hopped on the subway and made our way up to Central Park. We stopped to watch theice skaters, and walked byBow Bridge,旋转木马和Loeb Boathouse.。我曾经住在西边的上面，所以我们决定在81左右退出公园^英石街道附近The Museum of Natural History, which is a block away from my first apartment in the city, and walked up a few streets to grab bagels atH＆H.第二天早上早餐。因为我们一整天都在走路，想要热身，我们停止了阿蒂的，他们拥有最好的Matzah球汤，你立即得到一碗泡菜，凉拌卷心菜的第二个你坐下。一切都是如此美味！我在整个节日，圣诞节的地方放了一点指导，我们在镇上去，所以明天一定会下降来检查出来！

Luckily we had glorious weather on Christmas – the sun was out and the temperature was very mild. I love wearing white in the winter, so I started out with that as my base outfit and kept my accessories fairly monochromatic with rich dark brown hues to balance out the overall look.

Christmas Dinner:

We decided to stay in and cook Christmas dinner in my apartment, which at first I was a little nervous about due to how small my kitchen is, but it all worked out after a little shopping at Whole Foods. I kept the menu simple and picked up a rotisserie chicken, plus a bunch of pre-cut vegetables (butternut squash, green beans, cauliflower and broccoli) and roasted them with olive oil and herbs. Then made a really simple salad with spinach, pomegranate seeds, pine nuts and feta topped withBrianna的腮红酒醋汁。我可以把那个敷料放在一切，我发誓！我拿起了我最喜欢的迷迭香面包以及一些蔓越莓酱（我喜欢罐头罐头！）和混合坚果零食。对于葡萄酒，我想拥有几个最爱的抽样，所以有一个法国博朱洛拉斯村庄的红色，一个来自Franciacorta的闪闪发光的rosé（阅读我在意大利的该地区的旅行，这里）和金克劳福德的一个Sauvignon Blanc。

Truth be told, I’ve been drinking Kim Crawford with my girlfriends for quite a few years now. (Our fond nickname for the bottle is Kimmy C.) It became our go-to wine for girl’s nights, dinner parties and a solid staple to have in the fridge for an after work drink. So when the brand reached out and wanted to send me a bottle, you can imagine how excited I was! Plus, how festive is this holiday bottle?!晚餐后，我们遇到了一个家庭朋友喝酒这一季度, which was one of the rare places open on Christmas in my neighborhood. Then later on that evening before bed, we watched White Christmas together and ate popcorn. It was such a wonderful Christmas and although my parents have visited me in New York many times over the years, there has been something so special about having them here during this time of year. I feel so lucky.
